How does LedeWire's micropayment system work?

LedeWire's micropayment system allows readers to pay small amounts (typically $0.50 to $1.00) to access individual articles, podcast episodes, or other content pieces. You add funds to your LedeWire wallet once, then simply click to instantly unlock content across any participating publication. There are no subscriptions or recurring charges - you only pay for what you actually read or consume.

How do creators and publishers get paid?

When a reader pays to access content, the funds go directly to the creator or publisher, minus a small platform fee. Creators receive approximately 90% of each micropayment, which is significantly higher than traditional publishing models. Payments are transparent and creators can track their earnings in real-time through their dashboard. Funds can be withdrawn once they reach a minimum threshold.

When will LedeWire launch to the public?

We're currently in the final stages of development and will be launching our beta program soon. Beta participants will get early access to the platform and help shape its development. To be considered for the beta program, sign up for our waitlist. Once we've completed the beta testing phase, we plan to launch to the public. The exact timeline will depend on feedback from our beta testers, but we're aiming for a full public launch later this year.
