Dangerous Organizations

You are prohibited from posting Contributions or User Content that praise, support, or represent dangerous organizations or affiliated individuals, including but not limited to:

Terrorists or terrorist organizations that advocate for or support acts of violence against civilians for political, religious, or ideological objectives.

Organized hate groups, including those promoting anti-LGBTQ, anti-Muslim, antisemitism, fascism, male supremacy, white nationalism, or white supremacy.

Criminal organizations, e.g., that engage in criminal activity such as kidnapping, human or drug trafficking, or financial crimes.

Armed militias or other groups that are actively involved in armed conflict.

An exception is made for Contributions or User Content that describe the above in journalistic, historical or educational contexts.

Harassment

You are prohibited from engaging in harassment activities on our Site or through our Services, which may include but are not limited to bullying, intimidation, threats, profanity, doxxing (the sharing of personal information without the other user’s consent), stalking, causing emotional distress, identity theft, and sexual harassment (including through the use of imagery).

Harmful Acts

You are prohibited from engaging or conducting any activities on our Site or through our Services that describe harmful and dangerous actions committed by yourself or to incite others to engage in harmful or dangerous actions. These actions may include but are not limited to:

Actions that pose risk to the physical, mental, or emotional health of users and others (including animals), including those that may pose imminent risk of serious injury or death;

Actions that promote, normalize, or glorify violence, self-injury, or self-harm.

Hate Speech

Although we welcome diverse viewpoints and debates, there is no room for hate speech in our community. Hate speech is speech that includes serious attacks against a person or group based on characteristics including disability, ethnicity, gender identity, immigration status, national origin, race, religion, medical conditions, sex or sexual orientation. Attacks may include but are not limited to dehumanizing language, harmful slurs or stereotypes, and calls for violence, exclusion, or segregation.

Illegal or Regulated Activities

Any products or services offered on our Site or through our Services must be legal and comply with applicable laws and regulations. Do not engage in any activities that fall in the following categories:

Perform any fraudulent activity, including accessing the accounts of other users without permission, impersonating any person or entity, claiming false affiliations, or falsifying your identity or any information about you, including age or date of birth;

Sell or offer, or do any activity that can be construed as an attempt to sell or offer,

(i) pornography and other obscene materials, sexually-related services such as prostitution, escorts, pay-per-view, or adult live chat features;

(ii) tobacco, weapons, or other regulated products or any other products that may have varying legal statuses, including on a state-by-state basis;

(iii) unproven or risky health products or services;

(iv) counterfeit goods or services, brand name or designer products or services in a way that is unauthorized, or goods or services that are illegally imported or exported or which are stolen;

(v) deceptive or predatory products or services;

(vi) any other goods or services as part of any pyramid scheme, network marketing or referral marketing programs; or

(vii) any other risky goods or services, as determined by us in our sole discretion; or

Provide false, inaccurate or misleading information to us or any of our third-party partners.

Prohibited Activities

In addition, you are prohibited from engaging in the following activities when using our Site or our Services:

Avoid, bypass, remove, deactivate, impair, descramble, or otherwise circumvent any technological measure implemented by LedeWire or any of our providers or any other third party (including another user) to protect the Site or Services;

Use any device, software, routine, file, or other tool or technology, including but not limited to any viruses, Trojan Horses, worms, time bombs or cancelbots, intended to damage or interfere with any of the Services or service to any user, host or network, or otherwise attempt to disrupt our business, or to surreptitiously intercept or expropriate any system, data, or personal information from the Site, Services, or our network;

Use any automated or programmatic method to extract data or output from the Site, Services, or our network, including scraping, web harvesting, or web data extraction;

Commit unauthorized use of the Site, your LedeWire Account or any of the Services, including, but not limited to, unauthorized entry into our systems, seeking access to data that is not intended for you, misuse of passwords, or misuse of any information posted to the Site;

Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of Site or network or breach security or authentication measures without proper written authorization from LedeWire;

Bypass any territorial restrictions, including IP address-based restrictions that may be applied to our Site or Services;

Take any action that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure, including but not limited to denial-of-service attacks, “spam”, “flooding”, “mail bombing”, “crashing”, or any other such unsolicited overload technique;

Send unsolicited mail or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, email, junk mail, spam, chain letters, or other forms of solicitation;

Attempt to use or launch any automated system, including robots, spiders, intelligent agents, software, tools, engineers, or other means to navigate or search the Site, other than those generally available through third-party web browsers such as Microsoft Explorer or Google Chrome;

Modify, copy, distribute, publish, license or sell any third-party’s Contributions on the Site or accessed through the Services, or any derivative work based on the foregoing, without LedeWire’s prior written consent or the prior written consent of the rightful writer;

Otherwise attempt to invade the privacy of, obtain the identity of, or obtain any personal information about any other customer or user of the Site or any of the Services;

Use the Site or any of the Services for competitive purposes, including to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise translate any part of the Site, our Services or any of our technology, or to engage in mystery shopping; or

Encourage or enable any other individual to do any of the foregoing.

Safety for Minors

Our Site and our Services are restricted to users over the age of 18 (or the relevant legal age in their jurisdiction). However, we have a zero tolerance for any materials that may be interpreted as child sex abuse, including works depicting sexualized minors or the harm or exploitation of minors (other than in works that are for journalistic or educational purposes).

Graphics

For the avoidance of doubt, the Community Guidelines provided herein apply equally to any graphics, images, audio, or video files that may be included in any Contributions or User Content.

Violent or graphical graphics, images, audio or video files included as part of Contributions for journalistic or educational purposes should contain appropriate warnings posted in advance of the applicable graphic, image, audio or video so that readers are aware of possibly disturbing materials.

Reporting Conduct

If any individual publishes any Contributions or User Content, or otherwise engages in any behavior that you believe violates these Community Guidelines, please report the instance to us by emailing hello@ledewire.com.
